The "Board of Directors" Support Group

Following up with our participants and supporting them in their focus on their future is an important part of The Business Of Me's program and our "Board of Directors" is a principle way for us to do this.

One month after Week 6 of the program the first "Board Of Directors" Meeting” is held.

“The Board” is a support group for the women of the group that helps to guide them to future they want based on the vision that they have created for their lives.

The group meets three times at the organizations facility before beginning their independent meetings in a location chosen by them. This support group continues to meet monthly on in to the future.

Initially the group's moderator acts as Chairperson until the end of the third meeting when a member of the group is nominated and elected to serve for one year as the group's new leader.

The newly elected Chairperson then becomes responsible for scheduling and conducting the

group's monthly meetings and moderating the group's social networking hub. This "social networking" hub is used by the group to support issues raised by its members on a daily basis.
