I cannot begin to describe the personal joy that I've received from presenting this program.
As the sessions progress it is pure pleasure to watch the women become enthusiastic and begin to develop an I want to do it attitude and then their excitement as they realize that they can do it.
The Business of Me teaches women survivors of domestic
violence how to overcome their fear of money and how to manage it.
Our women learn real-world personal financial
self-sufficiency skills and the knowledge that they can do it.
The result is that the women complete the formal part of the
program with the confidence that they have the financial skills they need to live
the independent life they choose.
She's then supported by her "Board of Directors"
support group through meetings and online social networking in a group
that is formed
for that group at the beginning of the program.
The women continue to participate for as long as they
choose.
Acclaimed Yale University anthropologist David Levinson, in
a family violence study* he conducted that focused on battered women;
found that
in the ninety societies he studied, incidents of battering were
practically
nonexistent when women have economic independence and support from other
women.
And that is what The Business of Me strives to offer women
everywhere.
Thank you for visiting our Website. We hope that you find
our resources helpful.
Sincerely,
Nancy
